History

TransBIOTech is a college center for technology transfer (CCTT), established in 1999. It is associated with Cégep Lévis-Lauzon and recognized by the Quebec government. Specializing in biotechnology, it is a major innovation player and a leader for its support to Quebec businesses. Since 2002, with contributions from the Government of Quebec and the Canadian Foundation for Innovation, TransBIOTech has a complex of high quality research that meets the standards of containment 2 of Health Canada. The organization is a member of Réseau Trans-tech that brings together the CCTTs.



Mission

TransBIOTech's mission is to support business innovation by giving them access to advanced expertise in biotechnology in the field of life sciences. In synergy with its customers, TransBIOTech is committed to building on the expertise of its professional researchers to quickly take over and perform the various stages of a research project, while meeting internationally recognized quality standards.



Vision

TransBIOTech is determined to become the reference in Quebec for college centers for technology transfer for the strategic advantage it gives to its customers. The research center intends to constantly and significantly increase its influence, its quality partners and its national impact. TransBIOTech intends to maintain and even strengthen its first-class reputation as the only CCTT certified in biotechnology.
